The Wallowas

This year we want to visit all the 7 wonders of Oregon, seen here: the Oregon Coast, Crater Lake, Mt. Hood, the Wallowas, Painted Hills, Smith Rock, and the Colombia River Gorge. So far we have seen 5 of the 7! Earlier this year we went to the Oregon Coast and stopped by Multnomah Falls in Colombia River Gorge. We would like to spend more time exploring the Gorge hopefully next month along with camping in the Wallowas, but we're off to a good start!

On our way to Bend, Oregon we stopped in the Wallowas for a break. The Wallowas are so beautiful, full of amazing camp sites starting at $5! Camping season hadn't quite begun when we were passing through, but we look forward to going back and petting some deer and swimming in the lake.

Van gets car sick on road trips and had just thrown up two different times before these pictures were taken. I was worried we were going to run out of outfits before we even got to Bend, poor guy. The roads are swirvey so that didn't help. However, the second he sat on that stump and discovered that teepee all was forgiven. Gotta love road trips!
