Van man is 15 months old now, and for whatever reason he has decided to avoid walking. Some people react concerned when they hear this, but most people are understanding. Every baby moves at their own pace. I don't doubt that when Van decides to walk on his own he will be running and I will miss the days of stained knees and dirty hands.
Until then I'm going to enjoy Van being a baby as long as he wants. If he's not ready to walk quite yet then I will be patient. Life is too short to rush things. Just look at that face and all those teeth! He's looking more and more like a little boy every day. If it were up to me I'd want him to stay little forever, but I know he has growing up to do and I'm just happy I get to be here for all his first steps in life.
if you're ever sick of him, i'll take him

ReplyDeleteThis is so reassuring. My baby just turned a year old and still can't walk! Other babies her age practically prance across the room while she comes crawling after them. She has had a PT working with her for the past 4 months and said not to worry if she doesn't crawl by 1 to 1 and a half. Babies grow at their own pace. It's nice to see someone who is in the same boat as me (not in a mean way though!)
