new years

this year for new year's we watched the first ever idaho potato drop in downtown boise while sipping hot chocolate and listening to live music in the streets. we stayed out late with my sisters and their husbands and left van bug at grandmas. of course, we celebrated the new year before van's bed time so i could get my new year's kiss!

the next day we headed to cascade to stay the night at our family cabin. we played games and went for a winter walk in the pasture. the boys slid on the ice while the girls rotated carrying van as he blew ginormous snot bubbles, side effect of the cold. it was the perfect way to start the new year. i can't wait to see what is in store for 2014!
