Oregon.

Drew got us a two night stay in Westport, Washington for my birthday! We surfed and camped along the Oregon coast on our way up to Washington. We got lucky with beautiful sunny weather and I actually got sun burned pretty bad so you won't see many pictures of me from this trip.

The further north we traveled, the grassier the coastline got. You really do get the best of both worlds here. Drew and I always say the perfect place to live would be a warm ocean surrounded by forest. Does such a place exist? We're still searching.

This was also our first long road trip with baby Van. He was great and loves being outside, but didn't sleep or nap very well. One night we camped in the car and the only thing that would keep Van quiet was holding him up so he could look out the window and watch the cars drive by. Drew woke up the next morning proud of his son for doing so well. Clueless husband!

Something that made our trip a little bit easier was being prepared. Babies come with a lot of extra stuff. Here is a little packing list I came up with if you are planning to travel with a little one ----> baby travel essentials
