we recently went to california to see my triplet sisters, kylie and lisa. it was a last minute trip, but somewhat planned. we had some business to attend to (more on that later) and luckily were able to gather everyone together. we had so much fun!
i was nervous to fly with a baby for the first time, but van handled it like a champ! my boy is gonna be a world traveler! to and from california he made me a proud mama and slept like a baby.
as soon as we got to california i was anxious to introduce van to the ocean. he didn't seem to mind the wind blowing his tiny newborn hairs or the sand between his toes. we explored the shoreline and watched daddy surf, i'm sure they had a good chat about it later.
just before sunset when all the surfers were gone, a pod of dolphins came to say hello. we watched them play in the waves until the sky turned orange. van's first beach day couldn't have been better!
