the bun boat

i recently got home from a week at girls camp as ward camp director. (girls camp is where a bunch of teenagers strive to grow closer to god and his creations) i was nervous to go at first, but by the end of the week i truly felt that my calling as a leader was to just be a friend! i met a lot of awesome girls and learned about leadership from strong examples.

highlights of camp were:
- my ability to blend in with 15 year olds
- the look on people's faces when i said i was pregnant
- making a really cute bottle cap necklace
- food! food! food!
- camping on a cot (amazing!)
- river rafting

river rafting was a blast! i was on the declared "bun boat" with the crazy girls who like to ride the bull and splash! whenever we hit a rapid the girls were too busy laughing to paddle, and me and our river guide nico managed to keep the paddles in the boat. nothing feels better on a hot day than floating down the river with your little toesies pointing downstream. it was a fun week!
