hello to you too, orange!
at 17 weeks my little orange said hello to mama! one morning i woke up from a terrible dream about my baby causing a lot of pain in my belly. i thought maybe it had been kicking! so i laid there for a few minutes with my hand on my tummy waiting for a sign of life.
then it happened. i felt my baby! drew was already at work, but as soon as he got home i told him the exciting news. that night we waited for a quiet moment to see if baby would make another appearance. it did, and daddy felt it too!
it is the sweetest and most amazing feeling to have a life inside of you! i still can't believe it.

Yay thats the best, especially while they are still soft kicks :)
ReplyDeleteJust wait until you're 36 weeks and those kicks are directed at your ribs! It's the most amazing moment the first time you feel them move inside of you. Women's bodies are truly God's greatest creation. So amazing. Love your little orange! Can't wait to find out boy or girl!
ReplyDeleteI love that feeling! Until, like Chelsey said, you're 36 weeks and his or her feet are constantly treating your ribs like a punching bag... But sometimes that's what it takes to get to the point where you actually want the baby to come out! Haha.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, friend. You're beautiful, as always. :)

ReplyDeleteHave you heard of the app on the iphone called Babyscope? You can hear your baby's heart beat. :) They say you can't use it until you are at least 28 weeks but it's awesome when you can hear it! My friend is using it now and it's just amazing!
