I hope Drew can forgive me for blogging instead of packing this morning. I HATE packing. We are in the process of moving and have to be out tomorrow, then we head to Utah, then Boise, then Hawaii!
Drew and I like to have our own little family Christmas traditions. This year we felt a little rushed because we are moving so close to Christmas, so we may have had our Christmas a little early. Before we spend it with our families, we like to have a special one of our own.
So we woke up bright and early Thursday morning and opened stockings full of goodies and a few choice gifts for each other. We chose Thursday because Drew graduated Friday and Saturday and life just got too busy after that. Isn't Drew the cutest? I got him that window scraper because he always uses his hands to wipe the snow off the car windows and I just couldn't stand to see him let his hands freeze anymore.
Drewy always knows exactly what to get me! I am one lucky lady. We are ready for Hawaii now! After we opened presents we made m&m pancakes (fly family tradition) and relaxed all day. Drew was finally done with school! I had never seen Drew so stressed in my life so I was happy to get happy Drew back, and some extra attention.
Drew let me snap a few pictures of him feeling rather posey on his big day. Let's just say if you know Drew they started getting a little.... well you know.
Friday night Drew walked with his fellow business peers. He mentioned to me feeling like graduating was nothing special and how after his last class everybody separated ways and that was that. I think he was expecting a high school year book signing and hopping party that night. So instead, I got a few simple decorations, Chacos for Hawaii, and took him out to eat. I tried to make it special for him even though in the end he just wanted to say goodbye to his (our) friends.
Yay you're an official businessman hub! If you haven't heard, Drew started a business with his partner Shane called Root Cases, they make wood iPhone cases and eventually will make them for MacBooks and iPads. Yes, it's real wood! You can find them on Facebook and Twitter and they have an awesome website coming soon. He amazes me.
All the siblings supporting their bro, and of course his biggest fan (me).
I love Drew's face here. Such a cutie.
I love him.
Saturday Drew was able to graduate in the newest biggest building on campus, and it was awesome! Skywalks and everything. This building makes little BYUI feel real legit.
My parents came to support Drew also and then they took us out to a yummy breakfast and we had our mini Christmas with them at the restaurant. I love early Christmases! Congratulations Drew, you made it! Now if you can just stay focused and get that one stupid English class done while we're in Hawaii you will be able to have a diploma in that blue thing!
PS, did I mention the big news about Meggie's Love? My peppermint candy ear muffs are going to be featured in Tiger Beat magazine this coming March! The magazines will be on the shelves in February, and I get a free copy. I will be giving two free pairs of my muffs to the magazine to give away and millions of teen boppers will see them and hopefully check out my shop! I am stoked.
That about covers the reasons for our celebrating. Now I have to face getting this mess around me squared away...
