One Year

One year ago today, we made a decision that would change our lives forever. Even though I was nervous, I knew my hand was in the hand of the person I trusted and loved more than anybody else. So many people say love is following your heart. But because of you Drew, you have taught me that love is leading your heart. I truly love you and have grown to love you so much more in this first year of marriage. Thank you best friend, for choosing me to be your wife!

We celebrated our anniversary yesterday even though it was today, because today is Sunday. Drew took me to our special spot, the railroad tracks where we wrote LOVE with wood back in the summer of 2008. It's still there, only this time it was covered with snow. Drew got me toothbrushes, and when I opened them I laughed. No significant meaning obviously, we both knew we needed some.

Then we made our way to Nature Park and went for a walk because Rexburg was actually sunny and blue skies! There we exchanged a couple other surprises.

I made him a book of our wedding vows. 20 days count down to our wedding day Drew came up with the sweet idea to make each other some wedding vows. I kept them in my journal, but I thought this would be a cool book to have to remind us of our vows and our special wedding day.

Drew gave me THE WORLD! He's so clever. He also gave me chocolate, a very much needed thing in my life!

Chinese food, always a good choice.

Drew got us tickets to see the Peking Acrobats! They were absolutely AMAZING and MIND BLOWING my jaw was dropped the whole time! Most entertaining and talented people ever, I swear those Asians know how to do things! We weren't allowed to take pictures but here's a picture for you to see how cool and insanely bendy and ripped they are.

We started the day by sleeping in and breakfast in bed, and ended the night by watching the movie Ghandi falling asleep cuddling. It was seriously the best day ever. We both enjoyed our anniversary more than our wedding, if that's so horrible of us to say!

 So today, on our real anniversary, I made Drew the traditional "I love you" chocolate chip pancakes. Sadly, we forgot it was fast Sunday. But, it was delicious! It's been an awesome first year and it seriously flew by so fast I can't even believe it. I bet every year we will feel this way. Marriage is such a blessing and I look forward to growing old with you Drew, I LOVE YOU!
