Snow Day

Is Van not the cutest snow angel you've ever seen? I can't get over him all dressed like a marshmallow baby!

We had an early snow day this year! It was dumping snow for about two days and stuck around for over a week. It was like living in a snow globe. Unfortunately, Van was sick during that time so I don't think he had a fair chance at enjoying the snow. We bundled him up anyway and he cried about his outerwear and big clunky snow boots. We made the best of it and found a park surrounded by snow capped pine trees that had been completely untouched.

Van didn't last long out in the cold so we went home and made hot chocolate. I held him close and tried to warm him up while wiping his runny nose. He seems to take time adjusting to new things. Maybe someday that will change, but until then I love being the one he trusts most.
