element adventure

friday morning drew woke me up with a look of excitement in his eyes. he didn't have to say anything, i already knew what that look meant. nonetheless he popped the question.

"want to go camping this weekend? it'll be our first family adventure in the element!"

of course i get really excited and say yes. partly because i love when drew skips work to be with me and because i love spontaneous adventures.

"when do i need to be ready by?" i ask mentally calculating how quick i can get ready. which is not very quick mind you.

"we'll leave at 10. hurry up and don't worry about your hair or make up! we'll get breakfast on the road."

and that was the beginning to a perfect weekend.
