a walk in the rain

fall is here! i love when the seasons change. they seem to come at the perfect time. we went from super hot to super chilly over night. but i am so happy to wear my hats and scarves and boots again! last thursday was a rainy day, and we wanted to enjoy the fresh air and explore secret allies boise has to offer.

 we got some pizza at a local place downtown. we like to have "pizza thursdays" because we love pizza so much. unfortunately, the restaurant was full and we had to eat outside. i grudgingly ate my slice in the rain and we continued to walk. by the way, the portal didn't work. i must not be hip enough.

 oooooooh i just love warm and cozy things that make my insides happy. i love the smells of fall and stepping on crunchy leaves. splashing in puddles with cute boots on is fun too.

all this rain we've been getting has been so nice. living in the desert can get old. when we woke up in the morning and looked out the window, we were so happy to see a gray sky! i think we'd be just fine living in seattle. it's nice to have rain turn the earth green and dampen my allergies just a little. 

 do you like drew's new do? he is always trying new things. some looks i prefer over others, but ya gotta let your man express himself! he is still cute as can be. it was his idea to take this walk, and i am so happy we did.

say hello to the idaho state building! we scurried across the street in search for shelter and stumbled upon a beautiful car garage. 

then we found more art in a place called freak alley. freak alley is covered with spray paint and inspiring messages by local artists. i want to take my next etsy photos here if we can catch the lot empty. maybe sipping some cocoa too, for an urban vibe! 

later that night we went to first thursday where all the local businesses display their goods and leave delicious munchies on their tables. since it was rainy the streets were practically empty, but we met up with some friends and ended the night with sushi. who knew a walk in the rain could be so fun?
