shootin' squash

my brother chase has been dying to shoot guns lately. his brilliant neighbor, charlie, had the idea of injecting water into squash. that way when you shoot it, the explosion is ten times cooler. and charlie was right. it was cooler.

my brother and dad laid out all their rifles and hand guns and we put on our safety muffs. chase had a lot of extra squash from his garden this year, and i'm hoping some critters will eat the left overs. we also shot a giant gummy bear that we all nibbled on and then forgot about. he was just too giant.

we listened to the bsu game between the noisy gun shots and i learned some basic self defense. this is what we do in the desert, and it was a beautiful day to be outside with the boys.
