Top 10 Fashion Trends from China

There is something about Asians and fashion because they know how to dress! They can put anything together and make it look awesome. When I was in China I was constantly blown away by how cute and stylish EVERYBODY was. It wasn't only the young people looking trendy either. From the back I couldn't tell an old person from a young person because they were all tiny as a peanut and pulling off bold looks that I just can't picture very many American adults their age daring to try.

Some people might think Asians dress weird because they layer so many different things or look like they came straight off the runway, but I was fondly observing. I have always really liked clothes and personal style so I took some tips from the pros. If you who agree with me and think that Asians got it goin' on, check out my top 10 trend list...

1) Leggings, jeggings, tights- gotta have them with your long loose shirts and maybe some ruffles.
2) Thick framed "nerd" glasses, they don't even have to have lenses.
3) Acid wash jeans. 80s explosion everywhere we went.
4) Down vests and jackets. I feel like people in America make fun of these unless you live in Alaska. I have always wanted one because they are so warm and cozy, and I got one. Yay!
5) Scarves, especially eternity scarves. Even if it was warm out, both girls and boys add some style to their outfit with a cool scarf.
6) Boots, ankle and tall. I love boots and have a few pairs myself. Drew keeps saying they will go out of style soon. I think he is wrong because they are obviously a never-dying trend and will always be functional too.
7) Converse sneakers. I used to be a chuck girl until Vans took over the world.
8) Bangs. Every girl has the straight across bangs I swear. It made me miss mine.
9) Sparkle! They love to sparkle and have glitz and glam somewhere whether it's on their shoes or hair accessory. After a while I was starting to be attracted to sparkly things too.
10) Fur. I saw fur on vests, boots, heads, and even purse charms. They were like huge fox tails in all sorts of colors. I even saw them in H&M. Still not sure how I feel about them.

That's it ladies. So if you have some of these items in your closet you've got it goin' on too! I think if you mix and match any of these things you can make several cute and stylish outfits out of the wardrobe you already have. Thank you China for the fashion tips! Guess we're not so different after all.
