Creepy Jerry

Remember April Fools Day last year here? Well this year was MUCH worse. I woke up expecting Drew to do something sweet and funny, and to my disappointment that didn't happen. By the afternoon I finally asked him if he had anything planned. Then he just started pulling the "April Fools" after everything he said that wasn't true, just like last year.

Nope, he had a bigger plan. Thanks to Spencer Turley, our brother in law, Drew and Spence got together to prank me and Kylie. It started on April 1st when we got a creepy comment from someone named Jerry on our travel blog. Jerry spoke bad English. We immediately deleted it and worried he might be a creeper with a triplet fetish.

The next day I check our blog and see more comments on other posts talking about wanting to meet and make our babies. Jerry said he knows where we live and he will come find us. I was livid and about to call the police. We officially freaked out and seriously considered deleting our blog, immediately. Then Kylie sees creepy comments on her personal blog popping up right before her eyes! She kept deleting them and he kept commenting about being hurt and then started to threaten us. I checked my personal blog and yep, Jerry found it. We were shaking of anger and fear and our panicked rage led us to changing all our privacy settings on all our social media accounts. Talk about serious wake up call to how much of our life is on the internet. Made me want to delete everything, that creepy Jerry.

After about an hour of freaking out and changing all our privacy settings, Drew and Spencer finally admit it. "We're Jerry! April Fools!" Kylie breaks down and I use some choice words (sorry). Thank goodness they were Jerry.  I was so relieved. So don't worry, Jerry doesn't exist! But now if there ever were a creepy Jerry he couldn't track us down or leave comments. After it sunk in we were going to be okay I was so mad at Spencer and Drew. Talk about low blow! What an EVIL April Fools joke. Nobody was laughing this year we were crying and about to kill someone.

So, I guess April Fools Day taught us a different lesson this year. Make sure your privacy settings are sound and be smart about what you disclose. My blog is my journal and I know most of our blogs are, so you don't want to lose that. There really are creepy Jerrys out there and not all of them are pranks.

  4. Wow what a production those boys pulled off! A bit evil? Yes. But valuable lesson learned? Yes. Yes. Glad Jerry is just a figment of Drew and Spencer's complex imaginations.
