My Birfday

My birthday was awesome from beginning to end. I woke up to my bestest friend and we went out to breakfast at Joe's Filling Station with my other best friend Lissy! (missed you Ky) You know how on your birthday you kind of expect special treatment? Well, Lisa didn't hesitate to tell the waitress it was our birthday. There was an awkward pause while Lis was smiling her cutest grin, and the waitress caught on and just said, "Happy birthday what do you want to drink?" Needless to say we were both bummed we didn't get free hot chocolate with whipped cream on top. Should have gone to JBs.
Drew took me out to the new Teriyaki bowl place by Horkleys. It was delicious and we ate it at the park. He got me some cute yoga pants and the gift of yoga! It's a book and DVD. I'm serious about this yoga business. I think it's really great for many reasons. My main reasons right now are: a) Like Buddha said, "what we think, we become." And b) yoga is totally something I read about in all my psych books, and if a yoga instructor has a degree like 90% of them are psych majors, I researched it. Fantastic.

The evening of my birthday Drew and I had some Pineapple Grill, yep we ate out for all three meals! And they gave me free huckleberry ice-cream. I discovered something new on the menu (thanks to Erin) and I just had to have it.

After dinner we headed to "Lisa's party." I guess she's pretty popular and word got around that she was having a party and people were wondering if I was going. Apparently I'm the lost married triplet sister who doesn't celebrate her birthday with her single sister anymore? FALSE. Although our friends have become segregated due to me marrying, we still partied together with married people and single people alike.
Oh, you better believe Kylie was there. Yep, there's Ky. Second year celebrating our birthday without her so we have to make do. We actually had her by our side most of the party. Now I have her body (full of candy) and Lisa has her head.
Lisa's sweet friend Mel planned our party and made us each our own cake! I have never heard happy birthday sang so loud, I won't lie I was a little embarrassed I think I forgot to make a wish.
I didn't know very many people at the party, mostly just familiar faces. Lisa knew a lot of them. My favorite part was when a girl walked up to us and asked us who we were. She obviously didn't get the memo.
Here's our friend Erin, the babe that does my hair!
We had a few pinatas so everybody left with some candy.
Poor Ky, I still love you.
People are like pinatas. We're all different and hard to get from the outside, but with a little work we're real sweet on the inside. Once broken, everybody who hits the pinata gets a piece.
So that wrapped up our birthday party. We're twenty two now, real big girls. See Ky, I told you you were there. Thank you everyone for making my birthday perfect from beginning to end.
PS, tomorrow is Drew's birthday and we're heading to South Dakota to see Mount Rushmore!
