You can call me LUCKY

So today was a pretty awesome day. My finals are OVER! Yesterday, I go to my psychology class and find out my teacher lost our final? So she cancelled it. Today, I go to my home and family class and find out that I got a 100% on my final for just showing up! Good thing I went because I debated skipping. Then I go to my persuasion class and our teacher bought PIZZA for EVERYONE and our final consisted of only one simple question! Then (I know it keeps getting better) in my sewing class we did a humanitarian project and sewed cute little pants for orphans! We're not sure where they will be sent exactly but we had a nice assembly line going and got a feel for what it feels like to work in a sweat shop! (poor Chinese)

I also got my skirt back and am happy with how it turned out! Here are a couple pictures...
It was pretty amazing to have two finals cancelled and such a chill day! Sorry for all of you who are still stress balls, you can just call me lucky. Now don't get me wrong people, I had an absolutely crazy week last week with several huge projects, papers, and research due. But I slaved my way through it and came out alive this week with only two finals! Luck seemed to reward me, and maybe teachers who don't believe in tests or were wanting school to be done too. By the way, what is with BYUI students who complain to the teacher about not having quizzes or tests?

Let me just stand on my soap box for a second...

What is so wrong with a teacher who wants to teach their subject matter in a different way? I think people here get so caught up in the "traditional" ways of teaching and the "learning model" that we forget to actually ponder on what we learn and let life experiences and growing experiences in class teach us the curriculum. We are held accountable for our own learning, and shouldn't expect some sort of test the rest of our lives to do that. Everybody learns in different ways, and I think there should be more teachers who are willing to account for that. So thank you my select teachers who went against the grain!

Well, now that finals are over I don't have a whole lot to do. Just waiting for Drew to be done so we can get our buns over to Seattle! Then back to school for me to finish for GOOD! We're almost there dudes.
