Why do people steal things? Do they enjoy the rush? Are they that desperate to pawn something or in some cases many things? Maybe they have no conscience, no morals, and no mercy. Or maybe they grew up in the slums with nothing and had to steal to survive. Whatever the reason, it's just wrong and unfair to those who work for what they own. Stealing peeves me. If you haven't guessed it yet, our camera got stolen. Drew has a good attitude about these sort of experiences and reminds me, people are always more important than things! We really enjoy the word dude. It never gets old.
Drew likes to live life on the edge and drive until the gas light turns on. Did you know I have not driven since I got married? I just realised that the other day and I laughed. Our car is stick shift and I'm not exactly confident on stick. Drew also doesn't chew his food very well, he makes fun of me for eating slow. But at least I chew my food and don't choke for eating too fast, leaving wifey to eat dinner alone on date night. Who's laughing now!
We have not gone grocery shopping for five weeks now. The other day Drew had oatmeal, water, and sugar for breakfast. He told me it was a Latin drink... obviously he lied. I'm starting to get hungry but sometimes it's fun to make do and see how creative we can get with meals. Too bad the nutella is gone, I love you nutella. Miss you!
Some people get really excited about a new pair of shoes and spending their pay checks on shopping, other people pay bills. I get really annoyed with the Buckle radio, thank goodness for Lily Allen and ACDC giving me a break from "I start textin, I keep textin, I can't stop it's my obsession" and "Lost and insecure, you found me, you found me..." if you know what I mean.Have you ever noticed that chill you get after you tinkle? Think about it next time... it's funny.
Sometimes it's easier to talk with a complete stranger than with the people you see every day. How refreshing.
People are so so STRANGE.
i agree! people are strange!!
ReplyDeleteMEG i loved this post. i laughed out loud at the drew's diet part. hahaha. so funny. i wish i had nutella too! we don't have a lot, we just ate tortillas with cheese. it's hard for me to imagine your cupboards/fridge going bare, you guys were so loaded but that was a month ago! geez time flies. can you believe that? so weird.

ReplyDeleteAdorable post. And I agree. And don't you love when you can have a wonderful conversation with someone you just met? So fun. Also, love your background and pictures at the top...all so cute. Miss you Meg!
ReplyDeletehahahahaha FUNNY.
ReplyDeleteI love all the twists of this post! Crappy for stolen cameras! How'd they get a hold of it? I'm a fan of your thoughts and perspectives on life! Keep up with that oatmeal stuff! Yumm. How often do you work at the Buckle? Which mall?
ReplyDeleteWow Megan, are you having a good week or a bad week. JK Blaine's philosphy on people stealing is "I guess they needed it more than we did." It took me a while to get it but now I understand.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to have Ash back in town. It's so nice to just be able to see her whenever I want and sit and chat. :) I bet you are excited to go to Hawaii and see Kylie! That'll be fun. Is Lisa going to be able to come with you? That would be such a great trip! Us multiples aren't very good at staying away from each other. It's just not our nature!!
ReplyDeleteI am due July 16th. Just 11 more weeks!! YAY! I can't wait to hold my little girl. I mostly excited to see Payden bond with her and how their relationship will grow. :) It'll be fun! Getting a belly is fun. Not generally in life would you hear me or any other woman say that, but when it's your little baby growing and kicking and moving inside, it's a different story. :)
No...you are strange.
