This year I am most thankful for my baby boy, Van. Every day I feel like the luckiest mama in the world to be able to wake up to the warmest, snuggliest embrace and sweetest smile. When I look at him I can't help but be filled with so much love that the only way from overflowing is to squeeze him tight and kiss his cheeks until he pushes me away. I truly look forward to being his mama and his friend each day.
One of the many things I love about Van is his independence. He likes to explore every inch of his surroundings and can easily entertain himself with toys, puppies, or people. Whenever I take him out shopping or running errands he will lock eyes with strangers until they notice him, and then he will smile so big that they can't help but smile back. He connects with people and lifts their spirits. Every time this happens I feel happier too.
Van is my crawling example of what happiness looks like, and for that I am eternally thankful.
