sometimes drew and i just hop in the bus for a quick adventure. this time we drove to cascade where my grandparents have a cabin, and parked in their front yard for a little camp out. after an evening of river surfing we played some rummikub and snuggled in the bus. the next morning we made breakfast bagels before heading home. i love getaways like this, especially on weekdays. this summer we will have lots of fun in sunset as a little family.

ReplyDeletesunset looks like the perfect getaway car, literally :) What a fun weekend you 3 (including jimmy:) had! and rummikub is a favorite game of mine! I grew up playing it with my fam...my dad even created a set of cardstock "tiles" that we'd take on our backpacking trips :)
