the cabin

this year only a few of us were able to go to the cabin. we spent the weekend there with my parents, my brother bridger's family, and the doggies. we all ended up sleeping outside because of our dogs! bridger's family camped in their tent, mom and dad slept in their trailer, and we camped out in our bus.

one of the many things i love about the cabin is the room upstairs full of beds. i don't think bridger's little girlies have ever gotten to sleep in the beds, so this year i made sure we had a special girls night inside. bennett and madelyn called it girls camp! we read stories and snuggled and everybody had their own bed. bennett couldn't fall asleep so she ended up cuddling with grandma. it was a late night for those two, while maddy and i slept like babies.

i love waking up in the morning and climbing down the steep stairs to the smell of breakfast cooking. bridger made delicious homemade pancakes and bacon. he and megan just had a sweet little baby girl named josie. it was her first trip to the cabin!

over the weekend we ate plenty, swam at the lake, watched drew surf at the river park, rode four wheelers, and took naps on the comfy couch. we always have a good time at the cabin, even if only a few of us can make it. look forward to next year!
