the ho ho hollenbacks are lumberjacks this year!
this weekend we went to the forest just outside idaho city to chop down our own christmas tree.
we put on our flannels and best winter boots in search for the perfect tree.
this is our first real live tree and now our home smells like delicious pine.
it might not be the prettiest tree or have the strongest branches,
but it's ours and we love it.
hey we got our tree this weekend too! although ours is fake and only about 3 feet tall...i love the smell of real trees! just make sure you water it or else you'll have your very own burning bush in the family room!
ReplyDeleteFun! Your experience looks much like ours. Except you didn't have a screaming child. Or a dog that chased others. But I bet our trees are similar. Fun cutting your own down, eh? I need to blog about our experience... You've inspired me. ha!
ReplyDeleteyay for real trees! i'm working on my husband to get a real one next year :) And i love that you flanneled up and went to the mountains to cut it down! what a sweet tradition you started :)
