we're on the hunt! finding the right puppy isn't easy.
dempsey down there i fell in love with, but unfortunately drew did not. we would still like to go back and spend time with him because like i said, he needs me.
recently we visited this puppy! he remains nameless and in need of a home. he is a border collie mix. we played with him and he already knows how to shake! we saw a lot of potential in training this pup. of course, i loved him too.
for some reason i seem to be attracted to sheep dog breeds and drew likes basset hounds and bull dogs. where will we find a median?
adopting a dog is a big commitment. we want to be sure we've done our homework before we decide which sweet puppy to save. it's so hard choosing when they all look at you with their cute little puppy eyes.
by the end of this year we will have a puppy best friend.
what do you think? any doggy tips are appreciated!
since you are so active... I would say not to get a basset or bulldog right now (even though I LOvE them) My parents have a border and that dog looks like their dog... love him, they are good dogs (SHED ALOT) but smart! I would look into a boxer tho... they are really smart, loyal, active, loving, short hair and a clown. Plus you get a little bit of bulldog face with a normal dog body! Have you seen the dog quiz online I think its like animal planet or something... that's a good test to take to make sure that's the right dog for you... but I am glad you are not just going and getting...
ReplyDeletehey, we are getting a pup too ;). i'll let you know if I think of any tips. miss ya!
ReplyDeletehi there! i would suggest a boxer, they have some of the hunting dog qualities like a hound, and the scrunched face like a bulldog, but their personality is fun and playful and quirky, probably like a collie mix. I grew up with a boxer and she is the sweetest. I have been looking for the right kind of dog as well, so I hope you find him/her soon!
