I have the best visiting teachers ever.
I seriously have never felt this way about visiting teachers.
But they are so good about visiting me and just hanging out with me.
When they visit I can get on these pointless tangents and we end up spending an hour together when surely they have better things to do with their time!
They are always so smiley and sweet to me.
The little things they do for me like take notes for me in Relief Society since I'm in the nursery now,
bring me cookies and fun new recipes, and always offer me help seriously makes me feel so blessed.
I remember one time in Relief Society I didn't know where to sit because my two friends had moved out of the ward. I was sad that day for some reason, and one of my visiting teachers scooted next to me and just started talking to me until the lesson started.
Sometimes even small talk can mean the world to someone.
It's seriously the small things. I really love these two girls and hope I can be a better visiting teacher like them.
oh my gosh i LOVE THIS! meg this is so sweet and tender! i am so grateful to those two girls who treat you so well! THATS THE SPIRIT OF VISITING TEACHING! i have a testimony of it now too :) never missed a month since i've been in hawaii, and it does make a difference!

ReplyDeleteThis is awesome, Meg. Thanks for sharing! I've struggled with visiting teaching on and off and had some fake experiences that gave me a bad taste in my mouth about it. I know I need to work on it! Your post gave me warm fuzzies and motivation to DO BETTER!!
